About City BIM

CITY-BIM is a multidisciplinary architectural and engineering firm with more than 20 years of experience, it has conceived to develop integral projects with a high quality, coordination and integration of all disciplines.

We are conformed by a group of specialized professionals in Design, Architect of Record, Peer Review, Development of Executive Projects, as well as Preconstruction with BIM Modeling, of every one of the specialties. Architect of Record (AOR) & Design Solutions

We take care of supporting our clients during the development of the project as Architect of Record (AOR) to check the architectural design complies with the local regulations and the standards of the associated brands, as well as all the engineering and complementary disciplines.

Throughout this process we develop, coordinate and integrate the information at a clear and objective level so that through the Preconstruction stage the client can analyze alternatives of spaces and solutions to optimize the project.

In each of the stages we include different multidisciplinary teams who contribute an important dynamism to the development of the design.

BIM Modeling

The BIM Modeling (Building Information Modeling) is the general process of generation and data management of a building during its life cycle.

In each of the stages of the Project, we include different multidisciplinary teams that contribute an important dynamism to the development of the Design. This process produces the information Model of the building, which covers the geometry of the building, the spatial relationships of its elements, information of the different disciplines, as well as the quantities and properties of its components.

Description:

Adverse to what you think, BIM does not represent a software but rather it is a work methodology.
It is about projecting in 3D and from this, creating functional documentation.
The objective is to integrate all parts of the project.
The different stages of the project are contemplated, from the conceptual design to the maintenance of the property.

The ability to make a 3D model allows us to understand the volume to be built.
If someone on the team decides to modify any data, it is automatically updated in all project documentation (high degree of reliability).
BIM modeling allows to solve interferences before they reach the work.
Working with BIM is possible in a shared, collaborative and dynamic network.
Due to the above, the largest possible number of people in the construction team is kept updated in all aspects of the project.

Peer Review

Peer Review is the evaluation of the technical soundness of Architectural Design and Engineering proposed in each project.

In CITY-BIM we carry out the analysis taking care to detail fulfillment with the regulations and evaluating the suitability of every of the construction methods to be used, as well as all the facilities and their criteria. The Peer Review is used so that, in addition to the “specialist” designer, we provide support and advice to our client, who does not usually know about the systems proposed so the information received for the construction is questioned and validated completely, before construction stage. We generate a detailed report with recommendations and, where appropriate, we indicate the detected deficiencies of the project, indicating in representative cases the cost-benefit of the suggestions for change of every solution adopted by the designer.
